Castle Rock Edinvar Manager Shelley Hutton’s rejection of complaint into dangerous wiring states Electrician admitted he knew wiring in water tank cupboard was “poor condition” in July – claims on paperwork that work would be sorted out same time as new fuse box fitted – However, same electrician was unable to undertake electrical safety check in September due to ‘discovery’ that fuse box was out of date and replacement was scheduled for December!
Question 1 – How did the Electrician know about the fuse box in July before actually discovering the problem in September? (Or was paperwork simply later changed to cover up his lies).
Question 2 – If the Electrician & Castle Rock Edinvar knew of the Fuse Box being out of date in July why was an Electrical Safety Check scheduled for September and why did the Electrician turn up to undertake work he knew could not be undertaken?
Question 3 – If the Electrician knew the wiring was in a dangerous condition in July (a condition that clearly breached building regulations) why did he plan to leave it in a condition which posed a serious fire risk until September before planning a repair? (This alone is a serious breach of duty of care).
