Open letter to Angus Robertson – MSP Candidate for Edinburgh Central
Angus Robertson – After the horrific tragedy of Grenfell Tower should a housing association such as Castle Rock Edinvar which includes Tavish Scott, an ex MSP, former leader of the Scottish Lib Dems and ex deputy minister of the Scottish government be covering up and whitewashing dangerous workmanship which could’ve caused a serious fire leading to residents of an Edinburgh tenement burning to death?
Would you care to make an official statement on the dangerous workmanship clearly proven by this protest along with Castle Rock Management’s attempts to cover up and whitewash not only the dangerous state wiring was left in but also staff members misinformation, lies and deception (including CRE staff being allowed to change their stories so a complaint could be rejected)!
Castle ROCK Edinvar Manager Shelley Hutton’s response to complaint they left wiring in condition that breached building regulations, was dangerous and posed a serious fire risk…
“I cannot provide an explanation for the wires being out of the junction box”
“The Electrical Trade Supervisor has told me that this type of wiring is common in tenements like yours and was safe, despite its age and the sleeving being out of the joint box.”
“We did not leave the electrics in an unsafe condition”
My Response – “With this kind of cover up of substandard workmanship I predict that there will be a serious fire at one of Castle Rock Edinvar’s tenancies and deaths will be involved.”
